🕒 What to Expect: Your Lumecca Journey
✅ Step 1: Complimentary Consultation (Day 1)
Meet with our expert team to assess your skin concerns, review your medical history, and ensure Lumecca IPL is right for you. We’ll customize a treatment plan based on your goals.
✅ Step 2: Your First Lumecca Treatment (Week 1)
Treatments take about 20–30 minutes. You’ll feel a warm, bright flash with each pulse—most clients describe it as a rubber band snap with heat. There’s little to no downtime; you can return to normal activities the same day.
✅ Step 3: Pigment Darkens & Lifts (Days 2–7)
Brown spots may darken and rise to the surface—this is normal! Your skin may look slightly bronzed, then flake or slough off naturally over the week.
✅ Step 4: Glowing, More Even Skin (Week 2–3)
Your skin will begin to look clearer, brighter, and more even-toned. Redness and vascular lesions may fade significantly with just one treatment.
✅ Step 5: Series Completion & Maintenance Plan (Weeks 4–12)

Lumecca IPL improves the appearance of sun damage, age spots, freckles, uneven pigmentation, facial redness and certain visible blood vessels. It can help create a brighter, more even-looking complexion with minimal downtime for many patients.
Some patients notice visible improvement after just one treatment, while others benefit from a series of three or more sessions. The number of treatments depends on your skin concerns, skin type and desired results. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan.
Lumecca uses intense pulsed light to target pigmentation and certain vascular concerns. Laser resurfacing treatments, such as Solaria CO2, work differently and may be recommended for concerns involving skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles and resurfacing. At Maricopa Wellness Center, we offer multiple technologies to help match the treatment to your skin's needs.
Lumecca is generally best suited to lighter skin tones. Patients with darker skin tones, recent tanning or certain pigmentation conditions may have a higher risk of unwanted pigment changes. Our team evaluates your skin type and concerns before recommending treatment.
Most patients return to their usual daily activities shortly after treatment. Temporary redness, mild swelling and darkening of treated pigmentation can occur. Brown spots may gradually flake or fade over the following days. Sun protection and proper aftercare are important.
Melasma requires careful evaluation because heat and light-based treatments can sometimes worsen pigmentation. Lumecca IPL is not typically our first choice for melasma. At Maricopa Wellness Center, we also offer PICOFY laser treatments, which may be considered for certain patients with melasma as part of an individualized treatment plan. Our team will evaluate your skin to determine the most appropriate approach.

Lumecca IPL treatments start at $200 for smaller areas, such as the hands. Facial treatments typically range from $297 to $397 per session, depending on the treatment area and individual needs. Customized treatment packages are also available.
